Listing is for a 12 oz (or larger) soy wax candle with crackling wood wicks with crystals and flowers sacred to the goddess Freyja (Freya). The fragrance is a surprisingly lovely balance of peppered orange peel and lively apple top notes, which meld deliciously with subtle warming spices. Gentle tonka bean and vanilla aromas gently ground the bright citrus character of an orange pomander while still letting it shine.

This fragrance is infused with natural essential oils including orange, clove, galbanum, and lemon. . Just like Freyja herself, there is depth and contrast in every aspect of this candle.

Freyja, the Norse goddess of witchcraft, death, love, and fertility, was later condemned by Christian missionaries as the “Queen of Witches.”
Since Freyja oversaw battles and ruled over magic, she owned her own sense of power and ability to change fate. By being able to bestow and control magic, divination, fertility, love, war, and death, she held a great deal of power in her hands.
Freyja is the goddess of love, warfare, sex, fertility, death, beauty, magic, and witchcraft. She oversees battles, can bestow or remove fertility, can be petitioned for love, and was born knowing the divine secrets of witchcraft and the Runes. This is due to the fact that she is part of the Vanir, a people believed to practice witchcraft and have a strong connection to the Earth.

According to Judika Illes, “Freya was no obscure goddess but beloved and worshipped over a vast European territory including Scandinavia, Iceland, Greenland, the Germanic lands, Holland, and Anglo-Saxon Britain. She remains among the most beloved and widely venerated Pagan goddesses today. No spirit annoyed Christian authorities more than Freya. Ironically, the result was that Freya survives more vividly than virtually any other female European spirit. Constant condemnation kept Freya from fading into obscurity.”

Never leave candles unattended
Never burn candles where children or pets can reach them
Keep wick trimmed
Do not burn for more than 4 hours at a time
Do not add anything to your candle, or allow debris or matches to fall into your candle
Burn on a firm, flat, fire resistant surface
Do not burn where flame is below any surface or material
Stop burning when 1/4 inch of wax or more remains. Do not allow to burn all the way to the bottom of the container

Packages are shipped through USPS or UPS. They will be shipped via First Class or by Priority Mail, based on weight.
We do not guarantee delivery times and if your item is delayed past it’s “estimated arrival date" we apologize, but it is out of our control. You will receive a tracking number for your package and we do not have any more information than you do (or the tracking indicates) once an item is shipped.
