This Aphrodite Offering Candle is created in honor of one of the most beloved goddesses of all time. Aphrodite is the Greek goddess of love, beauty, and desire, and is often depicted naked in Greek sculpture. She is also associated with sexuality, physical attraction, fertility, and marriage. Aphrodite is one of the twelve Olympian gods, ruling from Mount Olympus under Zeus, but is the only one not fathered by Zeus or the Titan Kronos.
Aphrodite's power was her ability to provoke desire, and erotic pleasures were called ta Aphrodisia, which means "the business of Aphrodite". She was also worshipped as a goddess of the sea and seafaring, and as a goddess of war, especially in Sparta, Thebes, and Cyprus. Her devotees, both male and female, young and old, believed in her ability to create harmony and union, which could be sexual, marital, or related to fertility. Because of this, Aphrodite was also seen as a symbol of good order and smooth sailing.
The candle is topped with roses, shells, and glass balls that imitate the foam of the ocean.

All Sacred Lore candles are crafted using ethically sourced materials, lead free wicks, petroleum (crude oil) free wax, and phthalate, paraben, and benzene free fragrance oils.
*do not reach into hot wax. Pull crystals from cooled wax and clean under warm water.
